Umesh Tarkaswar a freelance Music Producer, Self employed Creative Director "Harmony" represents a complete storehouse of music as an extremely talented graded (National) music director, arranger, instrumentalist and a singer who has attained a multi-dimensional pursuit in the field of music. An active creative person his self carved niche speaks of his exceptionally striking spontaneity in music. He composes original scores and innovative music arrangements in various musical styles. His intense knowledge of Semi-classical under the tutelage of maestro Padmashree Ustad Abdul Latif Khan and Indian Classical learnt under maestro Swami Siddharam Korwar along with the knowledge of other genres such as Folk and Western is well catered in his music. As a theatre musician, he has been serving the theatre repertory Rangmandal Bharat Bhavan, under Padmashree B.V. Karant. Since last eighteen years he is a part of the creative music media. He has also worked with Renowned Directors as M.K Raina, Astad Debu, Rudra Prasad Sengupt, Bansi Kaul, Vibha Mishra, Fritz Benevitz(German), John Martin(England), George Labado(France).Of his music direction he says that , "Music acts as much as an actor".
He has performed and conducted Music concerts on various platforms among which are Theatre music (comedies, tragedies, mime, ballet) Sufi music concerts, Ghazal shows, Light music shows, Film music shows, Indi-pop, Classical and Western Fusion music etc. Under the guidance of Umesh Tarkaswar, Harmony has been performing traditional Gujrati Garba, Dandia raas shows since last eight years in various cities in India. Along with traditional Gujrati songs, he has also composed and arranged various other Gujrati songs suiting the generation next interests.He has conducted several music workshops at various National organizations, schools and colleges.
Proving his versatility, Umesh has also composed and sung the very different and difficult literary, historical and patriotic poetries with even as well as uneven metres and brought them in notice through various TV and FM programs. Especially to mention, the greatest celebrated poets as Nazeer Akbarabadi, Agyaat, Bismil, Mahadevi Verma, Mirza Ghalib, Surdas, Kabir, Meera, Amir Khusrau, Bahadur Shah Zafar, Shahjehan Begum and innumerable others.
While creating music in the studio he works on Korg Karma, Yamaha and plays various instruments such as Guitar, Tenor Banjo, Mandolin, Synthesizers, percussion etc. He has created an extensive own music library. His witty music arrangement is such designed that it naturally comes to portray a part of the sound and meaning of the lyric.
Umesh has also been involved in teaching compositions and voice culture as tonal variations, timbre adjustment and voice modulations to upcoming music artists and students for the media and other projects since last fifteen years. His compositions are in variegated shades and are woven around a variety of themes. What mostly interests him is a challenging job which according to him is music composing.
His creative mind speaks of the spontaneity of his vast creative well, his never-ending full-of-life experiments and improvisations that he takes as a challenge are such with which he never compromises.
